Welcome to Notes by me, Alex. A collection of my thoughts, ideas, and learnings on the things I find most interesting - marketing, branding, psychology, and business.

These notes started as a way for me to make sense of all the reading, listening, and thinking I do around these topics. A digital notebook. But the more I wrote, the more I thought, maybe someone else might find them useful too. So here we are.

A bit about me then: my career didn’t start in marketing, but in finance. At the time, I’ll be honest, I thought those years were wasted. However, looking back those years gave me something I didn't expect: a proper understanding of how businesses actually work - the numbers behind the stories, the reality behind the strategy. Still, it didn't take long to realise finance wasn't where I wanted to stay.

Eventually, I found my way into marketing and branding. What drew me in was discovering it's really about understanding people. Good marketing isn't about shouting the loudest or having the cleverest campaign. It's about genuinely understanding what matters to people, telling stories that resonate, and building brands people actually want to be part of.

When I’m not working, I love to travel. For me, it’s the best way to gain perspective, find fresh ideas, and get a renewed sense of motivation. The images you'll see on these Notes are all photos I’ve taken on my own travels. I think they’re a nice way to add a personal touch and give you a glimpse into a part of my life that keeps me interested in the work I do every day.

These notes are just my way of organising my thoughts, sharing what I'm learning, and hopefully creating something useful for anyone else who finds marketing, branding, and business as fascinating as I do.
